Refund policy

Digital Editions

Due to the instant, downloadable nature of Arootedink's digital archive files, all digital sales are final and non-refundable. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you receive immediate access to the digital files and waive your right to a refund.

If your file is corrupted or fails to download within the 5 permitted attempts, contact us at studio@arootedink.com, and we will issue a secure replacement link promptly.

Art Prints (Physical)

Each print is produced on demand, individually for you, which means we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or buyer's remorse. Please review your size and format choice carefully before ordering.

We stand fully behind the quality of every print. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, we will replace it at no cost to you. Simply email studio@arootedink.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a clear photograph of the issue, and we will arrange a replacement.

Because prints are made to order, we are unable to cancel or modify an order once it has entered production. If you need to make a change, contact us immediately after ordering and we will do our best to help before production begins.

Three things worth knowing:

  1. The "made on demand, no change-of-mind returns" line is important and legitimate — because each print is produced individually, you're not obligated to accept returns for buyer's remorse, and stating it plainly upfront prevents disputes. But pairing it with a genuine damage guarantee is what keeps it feeling premium rather than stingy — customers accept "no refunds for change of mind" easily when "we'll replace anything that arrives wrong" sits right next to it.
  2. Make sure this matches your product page copy — the damage-replacement wording here (30 days, photo, email) mirrors what I just pushed into all 16 product descriptions, so they're consistent. If a customer ever disputes, aligned policy + product copy is what protects you.
  3. One legal note, not legal advice: consumer-protection law varies by where your buyers live, and some jurisdictions grant refund rights that a store policy can't waive (especially for physical goods). This policy is standard and reasonable for POD, but if you scale into significant EU/UK volume, it's worth a quick check with someone qualified there — those regions have stricter distance-selling return rules. Not urgent at your stage, just flagging it.
